- Final assays in for three RC and two diamond holes for 1717m
- Full set from 85-hole drillout available for resource update, due within weeks
- Outside existing limits, ALD003 returns 10m at 3.69g/t gold within broader 21m zone
Special Report: Heading into a resource update, the final results from Adavale Resources’ drillout at the London-Victoria gold mine complete a dataset notable for its broad, high-grade intercepts.
Results are in for the final five holes from Adavale’s (ASX:ADD) 85-hole resource drillout with 82 RC and 3 diamond drill holes now assayed.
The final batch delivers more broad hits and high-grade gold mineralisation, with the principal intercepts again sitting outside the modelled limits of the existing 115,000oz mineral resource estimate.
“The final 5 drillholes have delivered exactly what we’ve come to expect from the London-Victoria drillout – wide and locally high-grade intercepts sitting outside the current resource envelope,” managing director David Ward said.
“ALD003 in particular, returning 10m at 3.69g/t Au within a broader 21m zone, reinforces the depth continuity we’ve been building through the program.
“With the complete assay dataset now available, our focus shifts to geological interpretation and resource estimation.
“The updated Mineral Resource will provide the first comprehensive measure of what Adavale’s 85-hole program has delivered and an important technical foundation for the next phase of work at London-Victoria.”
None of the 85 drill holes are included in the existing London-Victoria MRE of 3.8Mt at 0.95g/t gold, which was constructed entirely from historical drilling.
Pattern continues
The final assay results are from three RC holes and two diamond drill holes for 1717m.
Highlights included 20.95m at 2.25g/t Au from 278m including 10m at 3.69g/t from 278m and 5m at 1.84g/t from 292m in ALD003.
ALRC080 returned 39m at 1.01g/t Au from 140m, including 6m at 2.01g/t from 140m and 8m at 1.21g/t from 169m.
A separate, higher-grade zone returned 8m at 5.27g/t Au from 202m, including 7m at 5.97g/t.
Meanwhile, ALRC081 returned 17m at 1.38g/t Au from 295m including 5m at 3.24g/t from 306m.
With all five holes in the final assay batch returning reportable gold mineralisation, the company says these results provide important additional information on the continuity, geometry and grade distribution.
Completion of the 85-hole program and receipt of all results represents a significant milestone in Adavale’s evolution at London-Victoria.
The phase focused on executing and reporting a systematic resource drill-out and can now be followed by one focused on quantifying the scale and quality of the mineralised system and assessing its potential development pathway.
With gold up 15% in August to touch a three-month high above US$4700/oz, the timing couldn’t be better.
What’s next
With the complete dataset available, Adavale says its immediate focus is on data validation, geological and structural interpretation, 3D modelling and resource estimation.
The updated MRE will provide the first comprehensive assessment of the impact of Adavale’s 85-hole drilling program on the tonnes, grade, contained gold and classification of the London-Victoria resource.
Completion of the updated MRE is targeted for Q3 2026, providing a new technical baseline for London-Victoria.
Next comes a scoping study to gauge the route to mining and processing.
